FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is this an International Driving Permit?
No. An International Driving Permit is a specific document issued only by authorized bodies in the country that issued your license. We provide a private translation of your license. If your destination requires an IDP, you need to get one from your home country's authorized issuer.
Is this a driver's license or permit to drive?
No. It is a translation only and is valid only alongside your original license.
Are you a government agency or affiliated with one?
No. We are a private company and are not affiliated with any government, motoring association or licensing authority.
Will a rental company or police officer accept it?
Acceptance is up to them. Many rental desks just need to read your license, and a clear translation helps. Check your rental company's terms and your destination's official rules before you travel.
Which countries does it not work for?
Japan (needs a JAF or other designated translation, or an IDP for most countries) and New Zealand (needs an NZTA-approved translator). We'll warn you at checkout if you select these.
Who translates my license?
Professional human translators fluent in both languages. We don't sell raw machine translation.
What does "certified" mean here?
Your translation includes a signed statement from the translator confirming it is complete and accurate. It does not mean a government has certified it.
How fast will I get it?
Standard 24–48 hours for the PDF; rush within 12 business hours; printed copies ship after the PDF and arrive in [X–Y] business days depending on the country.
How much does it cost in total?
The price on our Pricing page plus shipping for printed copies, displayed before payment. No hidden fees or subscriptions.
What if there's a mistake?
Tell us and we'll correct it free.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — in full before translation starts, or if we miss the delivery time. See our Refund Policy.
What happens to my license image?
It is used only to prepare your translation, stored encrypted, and deleted after [RETENTION_DAYS] days. See our Privacy Policy.
